The Association of Career Professionals International is a global organization dedicated to the success of its members who provide lifelong career and talent-related services in more than 20 countries. Working with organizations and individuals, members specialize in all aspects of career services including career management, job transition, career and educational planning, assessments, executive coaching, retirement options, talent retention, diversity, leadership development and performance improvement.

 

Who are we and who are our members?
The Greater Philadelphia Chapter is a local meeting group started by members of the international association in 1995. We are career professionals affiliated with organizations or practicing independently. Our members deliver career services to individuals and groups in corporations, career transition firms, non-profit organizations, recruiting firms and colleges.

When are our meetings held?
Program meetings are typically held the second Friday of September, November, January, March and May from 7:45 to 9:45 am. Breakfast is included in your registration fee.

What kinds of program topics are presented?
Boomer Workers, Green Jobs, Social Media, Hiring Trends and Economic Forecasts, Multiple Intelligence, Multicultural Counseling and The Emerging Adult Workforce are recent topics at Chapter programs. Presenters are thought leaders in their area of expertise and lively discussion is guaranteed.

We have hosted two professional development workshops, both attended by 70+ career professionals. In 2008, Dr. Tim Butler, Director of Career Development Programs at Harvard Business School presented Getting Unstuck and Dr. John Krumboltz presented Luck Is No Accident in 2006.

 

What are the benefits and costs of membership?

  • Achieve support for credentialing from the Institute of Career Certification International

Greater Philadelphia Chapter local dues are $65 for an annual membership; $25 if you are a full time student. You will be invoiced annually in your anniversary month. Membership in the local Chapter is independent from your membership in the Association of Career Professionals International. Association benefits and fees are detailed at www.acpinternational.org.
